Category A includes Australian birth certificate, passport, driver licence, and citizenship papers. Category B includes Medicare card, bank/credit card with signature, and student ID.
Does a TAS White Card expire?
- White Cards issued by WorkSafe Tasmania do not have an expiration date.
- However, if you have not worked in the construction industry for two or more consecutive years, you will need to complete the training again before returning to site work.
Can international students get a White Card in Tasmania?
- Student visa holders are eligible under the ESOS Exempt Courses Instrument 2021.
- You must be physically in Tasmania when completing the training.
- At Service Tasmania, you will need to provide identity documents — an overseas passport (Category A) plus a visa grant notice/VEVO accompanied by that passport (Category B) are accepted.
