Course overview
Silicosis is a chronic and potentially fatal occupational lung disease caused by the inhalation of fine crystalline silica dust particles. Silica, also known as silicon dioxide, is a natural mineral found in various rocks, sands, and soils. Workers in certain industries who are exposed to silica dust are at risk of developing silicosis.
